1. Purge the standby filter before changing over.
  2. Changeover the filter.
  3. Drain the filter which was in use.
  4. Slacken the nut, and make sure there’s no residual pressure in the chamber.
  5. Take out dirty filter and clean it as per the manual recommendations.
  6. While cleaning fuel or lube oil filter check the condition of sludge,it can give an idea about functioning of machinery.
  7. After cleaning filter replace it in the chamber and check the condition of gasket or o ring before putting the cover.
  8. Evenly tighten the but and keep purging valve slightly open.
  9. Crack open the feed line and purge until we are sure that there’s no air in it.
  10. Changeover the filter back to use.
